About the Founder
My Future Tee™ was created by Laura Obehi Olear to give the Black Community a way to feel seen. There are many amazing shirts and hoodies out there, and she wanted something to express the joy and excitement she was feeling about her future career. After months of searching, and still unable to find anything fitting, My Future Tee was created to express Black joy and excitement in a fun way!
Laura is an optimistic supporter, and strives to encourage and challenge those around her to pursue their healthy passions. Her experiences in customer service, sports, business, banking, law enforcement, education, event management, and non-profit, make her relatable and open to new ideas. She holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Business Management, an MA in Theology, and is currently working on her PhD in Clinical Psychology. Born in Nigeria and raised in Los Angeles, Laura grew up in the midst of different cultures, which taught her to love diversity, and appreciate the uniqueness in people. In whatever field of work she finds herself in, she hopes to encourage, inspire, and motivate people in whatever season they are currently in.
